A Periodic Inspection is designed to reveal if any of your existing electrical circuits or equipment is overloaded. We will also test for potential electrical shock risks and fire hazards as well as highlight any lack of earth or bonding. Another important element of a periodic inspection is to ensure any DIY Electrical work has been completed to meet the relevant guidelines.

We recommend the following time frames for Periodic Inspections

• Domestic Installations – Every 10 Years
• Commercial Installations – Every 5 Years
• For Caravan Installations – Every 3 Years
• For Swimming Pools – Annually

Other instances when a periodic inspection will be required are:

• When letting a property to a tenant
• Prior to completing the sale of a property
• When buying a previously unoccupied property
